Next Election | November 3, 2020 General Election

The deadline to apply for an absentee by mail ballot is October 31 at noon; however, we recommend applying as soon as possible to allow time for mailing.

Returning your mail ballot? Make sure it is either postmarked on or before November 2 or in our drop box by 7:30pm on November 3. Mail ballots cannot be returned to polling locations -- only to the Board office.

Early Voting

Before every election, Ohio voters can vote early in-person.

  3. Bring your ID and vote like it is Election Day!

Voting by Mail

All Ohio voters have the option to vote by mail. Before applying to vote by mail, confirm your registration is up to date.

  1. Apply - complete an application and submit the original to the Board office (by mail or by drop box)
  2. Application Deadline - 12:00pm on October 31
  3. Track the status of your ballot

Polling Locations

On Election Day, polling locations are open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm and Defiance County voters cast their ballots at 8 different locations. You can search for a polling location by address or by precinct.

Statistics on early in-person and absentee voting are updated every evening during early voting between 5:00PM and 5:30PM.
